黄天厚土大河长,沟壑纵横风雨狂.
千古轩辕昂首柏,青筋傲骨立苍莽.

莽莽苍苍的黄土高原，沟壑纵横，山峁迭起，造物主以大气磅礴的画笔勾出这北方特有的壮丽自然景观，以情注山水，山水有灵，以诗赋山水，山水生韵。当然，北方黄土高原上的山水不同于南方山水清灵秀韵，而给人以苍劲、雄浑、厚重、拙扑、粗犷、豪放、壮美之感。
