广角镜头28mm f/1.8G值得考虑

与Nikkor 28mm f/1.4D AF相比，该镜头怎么样？
NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4D AF的优势：
1、 其光圈是f/1.4，而不是f/1.8。这是ISO4000和ISO 6400之间的区别，这个对你或许有意义，或许没什么太大意义。
2、 其桶状变形比28/1.8G小。
3、 光圈收缩到f/1.8，其暗角明显比28/1.8G全开光圈时小。
4、 光圈全开时，其纵向色差（色散）更少
NIKKOR 28mm f/1.8G AF-S的优势：
1、 在相同光圈下，其成像比28/1.4D更锐一些，全开光圈时，照片的更多部分或更大范围能保证一定的锐度。
2、 逆光下其镜头眩光更小
3、 对焦更加迅速，AF-S使其在弱光条件下对焦更加准确
4、 其价格更便宜，不会TMD那么稀有
5、 光圈全开时，其横向色差（紫边）更少
我相信28/1.8G将热卖。我2005年买全新的Nikkor 28/1.4D AF时，花了1600欧元。尽管2005年至2012年期间发生了金融危机及通货膨胀，全新的Nikkor 28/1.8G AF-S在芬兰的价格只卖700欧元。过去我真的以为其上市后将卖1000+欧元，不过，看到你实际上只花699.90欧元就能买到全副牛头，我当然高兴。

IN FAVOR OF THE NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4D AF
1. it's an f/1.4 lens, not an f/1.8 lens. That's the difference between ISO 4000 vs. ISO 6400, which may (or may not) mean something to you
2. it shows less barrel distortion than the 28/1.8G
3. stopped down to f/1.8 it obviously vignettes less than the 28/1.8G vignettes wide open
4. it shows less longitudinal chromatic aberration ("bokeh CA") at widest apertures

IN FAVOR OF THE NIKKOR 28mm f/1.8G AF-S
1. it is slightly sharper than the 28/1.4D at all comparable apertures, and sharpness at widest apertures is distributed over a larger area of the frame
2. it flares less in extreme front light
3. it focuses faster and AF-S gives better focusing accuracy in low light
4. it's cheaper and not so f*ing rare
5. it shows less lateral chromatic aberration ("purple fringing") at widest apertures

I am confident the 28/1.8G will be a best seller. The Nikkor 28/1.4D AF cost 1600 EUR new when I bought it in 2005. Despite inflation and s**t that has happened between 2005 and 2012, the Nikkor 28/1.8G AF-S costs 700 EUR new here in Finland. I really had expected that it would cost 1000+ EUR, but am of course happy to see that you actually can buy a professional quality fast wide prime for full-frame for 699.90 EUR

The only ones not happy about this lens are the eBay sellers who are asking 2800 to 3500 for the 28/1.4D - I really hope this lens would restore the aftermarket prices of the 28/1.4D to something in the area of 1500 to 2000 (in other words: where it belongs)

How does it compare to the Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G AF-S then?
The 28/1.8G AF-S does indeed focus faster from close focus to infinity than the 24/1.4G. Faster, but still not fast - keep in mind that this is a wide-angle with rear focusing element.

It's 4mm longer and about half an f-stop slower, and costs about 35% of what the 24/1.4G costs. Which is enough reasons why the 24/1.4G and 28/1.8G shouldn't be subjected to a side-by-side comparison. Someone's nevertheless going to do it, and unless they screwed up focus they'll tell you that the 24/1.4G wide open is sharper than the 28/1.8G.
